George Graphy I don't really like most ambient music, but some I do. This album is one of them. It feels soft, but yet it remains very interesting. Favorite track: Cistern.

Please, have a listen to this album entirely! Favorite track: Cas(s)iopeia.

Camryn Marquez This is a beautifully crafted album that uses the space that the cistern provides to use silence just as much as noise to sculpt the structure of the song. Upon listening to this album, I found myself immersed in beauty, and this auditory experience was very visual for me. I had images of floating within a womb of water and being reminded of the needs that we all have to love, cry, be happy, and connect. This truly is headphone music. Favorite track: Lemon.

about

Cistern is an album inspired by time Bischoff spent improvising in an empty, two-million-gallon, underground water tank, with a 45-second reverb decay. The unique acoustics of the space forced Bischoff to slow down and adapt his compositional approach - something which, unexpectedly, brought him back to his childhood, and the slow-pace of life he experienced growing up on a sailboat.
